DiscoverE Hide-'n-Seekers for ages 4-5
Moraine State Park has partnered with Butler County Federated Library System to offer this unique outdoor learning opportunity. 4 to 5 year olds are invited to become Hide N Seekers as we take a "Look in the Lake." Hide-'n-Seekers is a program developed to meet the curiosity and the attention span of the younger child. The program combines safe, playful outdoor activities with hands-on explorations, stories and crafts that encourage a child's interest and excitement. Hide N Seeker programs run every Thursday from June 27 through July 18 (No class on July 5). Choose either AM or PM session. AM Program is from 10:30AM- 12Noon. PM is 1PM-2:30PM. Cost is $5/program. Space is extremely limited. Registration begins May 7 and can be done by calling Moraine at 724-368-3612.

Wildlife Paddle

Cool, quiet summer mornings are a great time to catch glimpses of some of Moraine’s wary wildlife. Join the Park Naturalist for an interpretive kayak excursion as we paddle into coves and near the shoreline to spot both furred and feathered critters while experiencing the peace and beauty of Lake Arthur. Meet at the Upper 528 Boat Launch (NO FACILITIES) Bring binoculars. A limited number of kayaks are available. Ages 12 and up, under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Kayak and gear provided, or bring your own. Life jackets required to be worn. Pre-registration required. Registration opens May 27th. To register call the park office at 724 368-8811. Dress for the weather.

Owl Prowl
8:30PM-10PM – Meet beside Bear Run Launch (South Shore)
Join the park naturalist to learn about the wonderful owls that prowl the night woods in Pennsylvania. After a short discussion, we will go in search of these night-flying creatures to do a little prowling of our own. Bring a flashlight if you have one. Dress for the weather.
